Downhill Skiing

Searchmont offers you the best skiing terrain in the Northwest. Ascend on the quad, triple, double of poma lifts (line-ups are delightfully short). The terrain difficulty is 20 percent Advanced, 60 percent Intermediate, 20 percent Beginner, with bush trail & glades for the adventurous. Find table tops, grind rails, ramps and barrels on the terrain park. The area experiences an average 336 cm (132") annually. Ninety percent of the skiable area is covered by a snowmaking system. There is also night skiing available Friday and Saturday nights, and holidays.

Nordic Skiing

Trails are groomed for both skating & classic styles, and range from beginner to expert.

Facilities

The Main Lodge houses The OutPost retail store, Rentals & Repair, Playcare, The Eatery and Bernard’s Bar. The lifts open at 9:00 a.m. every day, and night operations are available every Friday, Saturday and holidays from late December until early March.

From the front parking lot, turn right (north) on Great Northern Rd. (becomes Hwy. 17, the TransCanada Highway). Turn right on to Hwy. 556 E. (see signs for Searchmont/Ranger Lake). Continue 29 km. on 556. You’ll see the Searchmont sign on your right.
