Skating
Outdoor Skating is Magical in the Sault
There’s nothing like the sound of the sharp edge of your skates carving into a frozen waterway. In Sault Ste. Marie, we embrace winter and the cool outdoor activities it offers. Outdoor skating provides you with the nostalgic experience of gliding over crisp ice with the snow gently falling around you. Afterwards, enjoy a well-deserved cup of hot cocoa, and a good book by the fire.
Crimson Ridge
Crimson Ridge is a world-class golf course in the summer, but they dedicate this beautiful natural space to skating, fat biking, and other seasonal activities in the winter. Enjoy a smooth 1.1km skate trail loop around the course. Night skating available.
Clergue Park Waterfront Skate Trail
This 1km skate trail is located next to Sault Ste. Marie’s spectacular waterfront, giving views of the St. Mary’s River and United States. The trail is managed by the City of Sault Ste. Marie and there are often fun events planned.
