Careers at our Inn
The company behind Algoma’s Water Tower Inn & Suites has been an icon of Northern Ontario hospitality since 1962. The enterprise, independently owned and managed by the Hilsinger family, started with a Kentucky Fried Chicken franchise that quickly expanded to five locations.
The Inn, constructed in 1974, was Sault Ste. Marie’s first modern, full-amenity hotel and a welcome and popular dining and social venue. Since then, the 176-room Inn has undergone major innovations, additions, natural landscaping and luxury renovations that today position it as the hospitality and conference destination of choice in the region.
The Inn is entirely smoke-free and is committed to pursuing best green practices. The personality of the Inn reflects the incredible forests and waterways accessed so readily to the north of its location under Sault Ste. Marie’s landmark water tower.
